Since our story started…

Riverbend has sought ways to help and actively participate in advancing the Kingdom of God through the work happening locally, regionally, nationally and around the world.

We believe the church is not a building. It is people who know of their imperfections and shortcomings, but have made a decision to follow Jesus and allow him to do a work in us, through us, and around us. We want people to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. To Love and live as He did. We want to bring hope to those who are lost. We want to make a difference in the physical, mental, and spiritual realms of the Lehigh Valley and the world.

Below are some of the ways we work towards our mission to Live for Jesus and Love the Lehigh Valley, and beyond…

Local Outreach

  • Night to Shine

    Every year Riverbend hosts a prom night experience to honor and celebrate almost 200 individuals with disabilities ages 14 - 99.

  • Food Pantry

    Volunteers pack and distribute food to residents of Northampton county, feeding 200-400 people each month.

  • Disability Ministry

    Loving the disability community in the Lehigh Valley with sensory friendly service space, inclusive Sunday School and other accommodations

  • RIPPLE Ministry

    About once a month volunteers from Riverbend serve food to those in need in Allentown

  • Bethlehem Area School District

    We seek ways to come alongside our new neighbors Bethlehem Area School District to provide support for the good work they are doing

  • Pastoral Prayer Gathering

    Monthly area Pastors meet to pray for the Valley, to encourage each other and to seek a way together to serve the Valley in order to make more disciples who will make disciples

One of the unique ways Riverbend provides funding is what is called the cooperative program. It's where church across the nation willingly share funds to support the work and missionaries, church planting, Disaster relief works, schools and much more. This serves as a way to practice Kingdom Collaboration locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
