FOUNDATIONS KIDS MINISTRY
It is Riverbend’s desire that every child would hear about, experience and understand the love of Christ. We strive to do that both through lessons and activities, to teach the kids about who God is; and also, through our intentions and interactions, to show them the love of Christ. At Riverbend, we believe that children aren’t just the church of tomorrow, but they are the church of TODAY!
9 AM classes available for children 6 months through kindergarten
11 AM classes available for children 6 months through 5th grade**
**1st thru 5th grade begin in the main worship service before being dismissed to class
Welcome to Foundations!
Hey everyone and welcome to Riverbend Community Church. I am Amy and I serve as the Children’s Ministry Coordinator. It is a joy to be able to combine two of my passions, Jesus and teaching children! But I can’t do that alone!
As a team, our volunteers create an environment during Foundations that is full of love, learning, and provide opportunities for relationships to grow and develop. Our volunteers are fully background checked and come ready to engage, teach, and point our children to Christ on a Sunday Morning.
Grow Cirriculum
Grow Kids takes kids through every major Bible story in three years. Every year, we spend an equal amount of time in the Old and New Testaments — six months each! The Old Testament is taught chronologically over three years, while the New Testament is taught chronologically every year (but with new stories each time). Grow Kids uses scripture and Bible lessons, paired with movement and hands-on-activities, as well as video teaching lessons to help our kids grow in their relationship with Christ.

Inclusive Sunday School
Riverbend is committed to making our church as a whole and our Foundations Kids Program more accommodating to those in our community with disabilities and special needs. Currently, we offer a floater buddy program in our Foundations Kids Program. Buddies are trained volunteers who are available to specially assist and care for children with special needs in the classroom.
